## Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Richmond Villages, a retirement village provider that delivers person-centred care.

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will ensure that the necessary maintenance and repair tasks are completed to the highest standard and the Village remains fully functional at all times.

Responsibilities:

- Managing, training and developing other maintenance employees in the team

- Assisting with staff inductions, specifically relating to emergency exits, fire points and evacuation procedures

- Advising over the phone when off duty or being called out to the Village in emergency situations

- Reporting any defects to the Village manager and identifying issues that require escalation or specialist advice

- Ensuring the outside of the building and grounds are maintained to a safe and good standard of repair

- Checking boilers are functioning correctly, free of leaks/defects and that space and water temperatures are correct

- Ensuring that safety and cleanliness within the Village adheres to current regulations

- Adhering to company purchasing procedures, making every effort to minimise waste and control costs

- Maintaining the office workshop and plant rooms

- Ensuring all residents' electrical appliances are checked and tagged 'safe for use'

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a property or maintenance repair role

- Good understanding of building services such as electrical distribution and plumbing

- Health and Safety or relevant building, electrical or plumbing qualification would be advantageous

- Experience of planned maintenance systems and record keeping

- Good IT skills and knowledge of statutory requirements

- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well within a team
