## Description

WSP is hiring an Engineer with extensive experience in the design, manufacture, and testing of high-voltage (HV) cables for HVAC and HVDC projects, both onshore and offshore.

## Responsibilities

- Assist leadership technically for the successful delivery of multi-discipline projects.

- Ensure projects are delivered according to contract, satisfying clients and managing Health and Safety risks.

- Develop external and internal client relationships.

- Provide technical management coordination of subcontractors and remote resources.

- Identify and mitigate technical risks.

- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

- Participate in industry working groups like CIGRE and IEEE.

- Develop external and internal relationships actively.

## Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent, preferably Electrical or Power Engineering.

- Five to ten years of experience.

- Extensive experience in HV cable design, manufacture, and testing for HVAC and HVDC projects.

- Understanding of IEC cable standards and CIGRE technical policies.

- Experience with cable modelling software like CYMCAP.

- System designing experience, including selection of bonding systems, earth continuity cables, and coaxial cables.

- Experience witnessing third-party cable activities like testing, installation, and transportation.

- Chartered Engineer status preferred.
