## Description

The Boeing Company, specifically the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Space Mission Systems (SMS) Division, is seeking a Systems Architect - Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to join the Space Systems Engineering team in El Segundo, California.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multi-discipline team to decompose system requirements into functional and logical architectures and allocate logical architecture to physical implementation. They will capture system requirements traceability within the system architecture model and apply model-based system engineering (MBSE) methodology to develop system architectural views using Systems Modeling Language (SysML).

Key responsibilities include:

- Working with a large team to provide high-impact solutions to complex technical problems

- Analyzing MBSE models to derive system ConOps through use of mission threads and use case scenario analyses

- Utilizing the system architecture model in support of systems engineering milestone reviews

- Ensuring system models are compliant with a standard outlined by the Customer-approved style guide and internal systems architecture/MBSE development plan

- Mentoring systems engineers in MBSE processes and tools

- Fostering strong customer relationships

The position requires a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science, and 1+ year of experience with systems engineering processes and tools. Experience with SysML, Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), and MBSE systems models in Cameo or similar software is also required.

The position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility, and the salary range varies based on experience level: Associate (Level 2): $98,600 - $133,400, Experienced (Level 3): $119,850 - $162,150, Lead (Level 4): $146,200 - $197,800.
