## Description

As a Senior Associate, Data Scientist at Capital One, you will be part of a team leading the next wave of disruption using the latest computing and machine learning technologies.

The team focuses on building valuations models for Discover Customer Management programs, supporting Discover integration, and developing advanced model capabilities.

Responsibilities:

- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver products customers love

- Leverage technologies like Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark to reveal insights in large data volumes

- Build machine learning models through all development phases

- Translate complex work into tangible business goals

The Ideal Candidate:

- Is innovative, staying current with emerging technologies and seeking opportunities to apply them

- Is creative, thriving on defining big problems and finding answers

- Is technical, comfortable with open-source languages and developing data science solutions

- Is statistically-minded, with experience building and validating models

- Is a data guru, skilled in retrieving, combining, and analyzing data from various sources

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field plus 2 years of data analytics experience

- Master's Degree in a quantitative field or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's or PhD in STEM field

- Experience with AWS, Python, Scala, R, machine learning, and SQL

Salary: $135,600 - $154,800 per year
