## Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Barclays, located in Pune, Gera Commerzone SEZ. As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and improving software that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

**Responsibilities**

- Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and optimal performance.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.

- Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality, and share knowledge with peers.

- Stay updated on industry technology trends and innovations, contributing to the organisation's technology communities to foster technical excellence and growth.

- Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.

- Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

**Requirements**

- Experience with Spring Framework (Core, Boot, MVC, AOP, Security), Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and RESTful Web Services development.

- Strong understanding of OO Designing and Programming Techniques, Data Modelling, and Design Patterns.

- In-depth knowledge and extensive experience of Core Java and J2EE design and development work on large-scale applications.

- Knowledge of modern frontend technologies, including JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.

**Nice to Have**

- Knowledge of UI development with a focus on Angular/React JS, React Native, and micro-frontend architecture.

- Knowledge of automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment tools and practices.

- Experience in Business Banking or Payments domain (e.g., FPS, RPS, Bill Payments, APIs).
