## Description

We are seeking a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer to join our thriving Rail Civil Engineering team in Leeds, Manchester, or London.

As a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer, you will work on landmark projects and collaborate with the brightest minds in your field. You will have the opportunity to advance your career with supported progression toward Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) status or further strengthen your existing CRE capabilities.

Key responsibilities include:

- Delivering civil engineering design for stations, platforms, depots, level crossings, and other railway civils infrastructure

- Playing a key role in growing the team and contributing to strategic bidding and business improvement initiatives

- Providing technical support and mentoring to junior team members

- Preparing technical outputs to the highest standards

- Championing WSP's Safety, Health, Environment and Wellbeing (SHEW) culture

- Scoping and specifying surveys, and supervising or leading site surveys as necessary

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject accredited by the Engineering Council

- Chartered or Incorporated Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers or nearing Chartered or Incorporated status

- Experience in delivering and managing multi-disciplinary engineering projects

- Working knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines, including Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, British and European Standards, Eurocodes, and Codes of Practice
