## Description

This Maintenance Specialist role at Chevron CoGen, part of Southern Company, involves coordinating maintenance activities to ensure generating availability, efficiency, and reliability.

The successful candidate will report to the O&M Manager and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing technical direction and maintenance expertise.

Key responsibilities include:

- Coordinating maintenance activities for assigned areas/equipment

- Initiating, developing, and implementing plant improvement projects

- Serving as SME and providing technical direction to maintenance and contract personnel

- Supporting and coordinating plant processes, including Maximo and Living Maintenance Strategy

- Developing and monitoring budgets for process and equipment needs

Requirements:

- Thorough understanding of general plant equipment, systems, and operations

- Critical thinking skills and ability to analyze situations

- Effective written and oral communication skills

- Working knowledge of budgets and budgeting process

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Enterprise Solutions tools

- Understanding of the IBEW/Union contract

Preferred qualifications include:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Operations and/or Maintenance in an electric generating plant

- Journeyman-level experience in other industrial work environments

- Ability to use EDS and OIS historians to troubleshoot process issues
