## Description

IOM is seeking a Project Associate (IM) to support the implementation of project activities in El Salvador.

The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Information Management Officer and in close coordination with the Information Management and Research Analyst.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting in the implementation and monitoring of project activities

- Retrieving, compiling, summarizing, analyzing, and presenting information/data on specific project topics

- Monitoring budget and verifying availability of funds

- Acting as a focal point for administrative coordination of project implementation

- Drafting status reports and suggesting remedial actions

- Preparing and updating reports, briefing notes, and other documentation

- Responding to complex information requests and inquiries

- Participating in meetings and conferences

- Assisting in monitoring the work of implementing partners

- Providing guidance/training to new/junior staff

The ideal candidate should have:

- A school diploma with five years of relevant experience or a bachelor's degree in a related field with three years of relevant professional experience

- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, and non-governmental organizations

- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, and other vulnerable groups

- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations or government institutions in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage

- In-depth knowledge of migration-related subject areas

- Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming

- Fluency in English and Spanish
