## Description

The Associate role in the Private Capital Markets (“PCM”) team at J.P. Morgan sits under the Asia Pacific (“APAC”) Equity Capital Markets team. The role involves helping J.P. Morgan’s clients raise capital in the global private markets. You will work on bespoke transactions to help private companies raise growth capital from various sources including private equity funds, sovereign wealth funds, and institutional investors.

**Responsibilities:**

- Develop a deep understanding of issuer clients' business models, financial metrics, and projected future performance.

- Analyze the suitable investor universe for each transaction and engage with investors.

- Support the preparation of transaction marketing and process materials.

- Coordinate transactions from launch to signing, working with clients, advisers, and internal and external parties.

- Perform a variety of tasks in a high-deal-flow environment with a flat hierarchical structure.

- Experience training, hands-on learning, continuous mentoring, and development opportunities.

- Develop strong functional skills in major areas of investment banking.

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance/Economics or a related field.

- Minimum 5 years of full-time investment banking or buyside experience.

- Keen interest in private capital markets, minority equity, and structured transactions.

- Proficient technical ability and overall corporate finance proficiency.

- Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Ability to take ownership across a transaction and show initiative.

- Fluency in Mandarin language skills.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Prior experience in private capital raising, M&A execution, or buyside.

- Prior experience in communicating with buyside investors.
