A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are welcomed, and ideas matter. A team where everyone enables gaming.

Central Technology is the force multiplier, accelerating creative opportunity and progress at EA. We're a world-class community of technologists, innovators, strategists, and orchestrators transforming interactive entertainment. Together, we power the platforms, AI-driven tools, live services, and infrastructure that ensure global scale, secure player experiences, and unlock bold new possibilities.

Infrastructure & Platform Services builds and runs the technology foundation for EA's games. Our teams deliver the live services and backend infrastructure used to ship, scale, and operate secure, reliable game experiences for millions of players worldwide.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Service Enablement organisation as a technical leader and change-maker. In this role, you will lead a team of software developers transitioning from traditional infrastructure support to an automated, platform-product engineering model.

This is not a traditional DevOps or systems administration role. We are looking for a software craftsman highly proficient in Python and Go, passionate about the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and deeply experienced in driving execution within a structured Agile/Scrum framework.

- Define and enforce organisation-wide coding standards, including linting, auto-formatting, static analysis, and documentation.

- Implement and champion a structured peer review workflow.

#### Technical Leadership & SDLC Governance

- Guide engineering projects through every lifecycle phase, establishing milestones for Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), structured release schedules, and End-of-Life (EoL) / End-of-Support (EoS) roadmaps.

- Partner closely with Architecture to translate high-level technical strategies into concrete, team-level engineering implementations.

- Act as the technical anchor for junior and mid-level engineers, providing active mentoring, technical pairing, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

#### Agile/Scrum Leadership, Product Ownership & Jira Management

- Model and reinforce daily Agile/Scrum hygiene.

- Step into the Product Owner role for key internal platforms, collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements, break down epics, and prioritise sprint backlogs against business value.

- Actively maintain and organise Jira boards.

### Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience designing, building, and maintaining production software systems in Python and/or Go.

- Extensive experience working in a mature, fast-paced Agile/Scrum software development environment.

- Proven track record of guiding software through the complete development lifecycle.

- Strong proficiency with Git collaboration workflows and automated CI/CD validation.

- Proven experience designing and implementing maintainable RESTful or gRPC APIs.

- Highly proficient in Jira for ticket lifecycle management, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and workflow tracking.

- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated capability to lead, influence, and elevate an engineering team.
