## Description

Capital One's Community Finance team originates debt and equity to support affordable housing development. We are seeking a Director to lead a team focused on sourcing strategy-aligned multi-family housing development opportunities. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the affordable housing industry, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with developers and other industry stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Lead a team in managing relationships with developers and industry stakeholders

- Gather market intelligence and understand the competitive landscape

- Identify opportunities that align with Capital One's overall strategy

- Collaborate with executive leaders to establish business goals and plan portfolio growth

- Manage risk and ensure data integrity

- Develop, coach, and inspire team members to reach their goals

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor's degree or military experience

- At least 7 years of experience in business development, underwriting, asset management, or portfolio management in the field of affordable housing or commercial real estate

- Strong leadership and communication skills

- Ability to build relationships with developers and other industry stakeholders

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- MBA or Master's degree in Finance

- 10+ years of experience in affordable housing, community development, or Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC)

- 5+ years of people leadership experience

- 5+ years of market analysis experience

**Salary:** Newport Beach, CA: $230,400 - $263,000 per year San Francisco, CA: $251,400 - $286,900 per year
