## Description

We are seeking a Control Room Team Leader to support the day-to-day operation of the control room, ensuring that the team is aware of their importance in service delivery.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Leading and developing the team: overseeing the day-to-day activities of Control Room Operatives, providing coaching, feedback, and support to drive performance and development.

- Monitoring health and safety: ensuring the effective use of CCTV systems to monitor safety and performance across waste collection vehicles and sites.

- Driving performance and quality: reviewing operational outputs, implementing effective processes, and ensuring work meets required standards and performance targets.

- Supporting operational delivery: working closely with operational teams and depots to manage changing priorities and support the achievement of contractual KPIs.

- Reporting on performance: producing and distributing monthly performance reports to depots, providing clear insight into results and areas for improvement.

- Maintaining accurate records: compiling daily audit statistics and ensuring completed audits are communicated accurately and promptly to relevant depot contacts.

- Supporting training and development: identifying team training needs and helping colleagues build the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their roles.

- Supporting business improvements: contributing to new initiatives, updated ways of working, and SHQ (Safety, Health and Quality) improvements.

- Maintaining contract knowledge: developing and maintaining a strong understanding of relevant contracts and the control room's role in delivering service commitments.

The ideal candidate will have strong team leadership skills, a focus on operational performance, and a commitment to health and safety. Desirable qualifications and experience include:

- Experience in a CCTV operative or control room environment.

- Knowledge of hazard and near-miss reporting procedures.

- An understanding of health and safety practices, ideally within the waste management industry.
