## Description

As an Engine Development Engineer - Cranktrain at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg, Germany, you will be part of a Formula 1 program that is a performance system under maximum time pressure.

Your mission is to develop the cranktrain, piston assembly, and crankcase from concept to the race track. You will define, plan, and execute engine and component testing, and optimize friction, wear, and mechanical integrity under F1 operating conditions.

Responsibilities:

- End-to-end development of the cranktrain, piston assembly, and crankcase

- Independent definition, planning, and execution of engine and component testing

- Performance-driven optimization of friction, wear, and mechanical integrity

- Data-driven analysis of test bench, engine, and vehicle data

- Root-cause analysis of failures

- Derivation and implementation of design and process improvements

- Technical ownership of rapid concept iteration

- Clear and precise communication of technical results

Requirements:

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a comparable field

- Several years of experience in high-performance internal combustion engines or F1/motorsport powertrains

- Deep understanding of engine mechanics, tribology, materials, and test bench methodologies

- Proven experience in planning and executing engine and component testing

- Strong analytical capability in complex failure and system interactions

- High standards of technical excellence, speed, and ownership of results

- Structured, independent working style with strong decision-making skills

- Very good German or English language skills
