## Description

Howden is offering an Insurance Claims Apprenticeship Programme starting in September 2027 in Birmingham with a salary of £23,000.

You will join Howden in a permanent role and complete an 18-month development programme designed to develop your technical knowledge, professional skills, and confidence to kick-start your career.

Responsibilities:

- Support Claims Handlers and Executives by gathering information from clients about their claims.

- Gain hands-on experience learning how insurance policies work and how cover is assessed for different client claims.

- Learn how to handle calls with clients and deliver excellent customer service.

- Support the team with following up with clients and insurers to keep claims moving.

- Help prepare reports and analyse data.

Requirements:

- Confident communicating with a wide range of people, including over the phone.

- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Someone who enjoys building positive relationships and delivering great customer service.

- A keen problem solver who uses their attention to detail skills when solving challenges.

- Curious and motivated to learn and grow your career in insurance.

- Able to stay calm and positive when faced with challenging situations.

Eligibility:

- Have the full and unrestricted right to work in the UK.

- Have lived permanently in the UK for the last 3 years.

- Have achieved a grade C/4 in GCSE English and Maths.

- Not already hold a qualification that significantly overlaps with the content of this apprenticeship.
