## Description

WSP USA's Power and Energy Team is seeking a Full-Time Electrical Engineering Intern (Renewable Transmission Interconnections) to work out of our Billings, MT office. This temporary position is for individuals currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program.

As a summer intern, you will participate in our 12-week program scheduled to start on May 17th, 2027. The internship will provide hands-on experience, mentorship, and networking opportunities.

Responsibilities:

- Support various engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.

- Learn basic principles of Electrical Engineering.

- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.

- Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.

- Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.

- Complete training on assigned tasks.

- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making.

- Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Requirements:

- Actively enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering or related Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.

- Must be 18 or older.

- Demonstrated interest in Consulting Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.

- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety.

- Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Successful completion of junior-level courses in power system analysis and/or power system protection.

- Prior internship and/or related engineering experience.

- Familiarity with design, drafting, or engineering software such as MATHCAD, SOLIDWORKS, AUTOCAD, and Microsoft Excel.

Compensation: $23.03 - $29.96 per hour
