## Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Engineer to join our SE team covering Utility and Auto industry. This is a hybrid position based in Japan, reporting to the Manager, Sales Engineering in Japan within the Sales and Go-to-Market department.

As a key member of the team, you will help cement our position as the world leader in cloud security through technical excellence and trusted partnerships.

Responsibilities:

- Provide technical expertise and strategic advice to enterprise customers

- Take total ownership of the technical sale and associated processes

- Independently deliver high-impact sales pitches, technical demonstrations, and whiteboard presentations

Requirements:

- BSCS or equivalent with extensive experience as a Sales Engineer or systems integrator

- 7+ years of experience in Pre-Sales roles, with at least 3 years focused on selling security or networking solutions in direct or high-touch sales environments

- Technical proficiency in HTTP and web-related technologies

- High fluency in written and spoken Japanese

- Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working with routing and switching products, including complex troubleshooting

- Solid understanding of SaaS-based technologies and network security frameworks

- Hands-on experience with systems installation, configuration, and administration of macOS, UNIX/Linux, and Windows-based systems

- Demonstrate strong AI fluency by leveraging coding assistants, LLMs, and Generative AI tools

- Experience positioning AI-driven threat intelligence, automated policy enforcement, or AI security frameworks to enterprise clients
