## Description

We are seeking a Technical Department Manager to join our team in Northwich. As a Technical Department Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and guidance of the technical team across all departments.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Delivering food safety, legality, quality, and integrity for all customers and brands

- Ensuring compliance with legal, BRC, and MMS requirements

- Investigating and reporting adverse microbiological results

- Managing product information through the M-create portal

- Maintaining responsibility for the site HACCP Plan

- Supporting and advising colleagues on technical issues

- Developing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with technical policies and procedures

- Proactively managing site trends and risks

- Playing an active role in achieving site accreditations

- Managing site internal audits and process validations

- Maintaining site document control

- Collating site information for reports

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Relevant experience or a degree in science, food technology, chemistry, microbiology, engineering, manufacturing, or business

- Knowledge of safety, legality, compliance, and quality across the supply chain and produce range

- Previous experience or knowledge of high-risk coupled with thermal processing knowledge

- Strong analytical and decision-making skills

- Excellent communication skills and solution-focused problem-solving abilities

- A proven track record of people management and delivering strong results through a team

- A can-do attitude and a strong work ethic
