## Description

We are seeking a Local Security Associate to join our team in Tunis, Tunisia. The successful candidate will assist in the implementation and coordination of security and administrative related services and tasks to ensure high-quality and accurate work within the Security Unit.

The Local Security Associate will work under the supervision of the Chief of Mission and the Senior Field Security Associate. Key responsibilities include:

- Monitoring security guards deployed at the IOM office

- Operating walk-thru devices and CCTV systems

- Implementing new security measures

- Organising office access and egress SOPs

- Conducting interior patrols and fire safety observations

- Reporting potential or actual security breaches

- Maintaining regular security reports

- Assisting in security assessments and emergency planning

- Networking with UN stakeholders and external partners

- Maintaining staff files and lists

- Providing security briefings for new arrivals

- Monitoring the in-country security situation

- Maintaining a filing system for the Security Unit

- Keeping an inventory of IOM Staff Security Unit assets

- Ensuring vehicle compliance with SRM

- Escorting IOM staff on missions

- Reporting for duty during official holidays and after normal working hours

The ideal candidate will have:

- A high school degree with five years of relevant security experience, or a bachelor's degree with three years of experience

- Experience in security management systems, law enforcement, or military/police context

- Excellent organisation and analytical skills

- Fluency in French and English

- Desirable: working knowledge of Arabic

We offer a fixed-term contract for one year with the possibility of extension.
