## Description

We are seeking a skilled Building Services Technician to join our team at GA Power in Statesboro, GA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and repair of assigned facilities or areas, under the direction of the Building Manager and Facilities Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform inspections of premises to determine repair and maintenance needs

- Evaluate, repair, and maintain plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems

- Communicate with facilities management regarding outside expert assistance

- Receive and respond to work orders for mechanical or maintenance issues

- Maintain defined assets according to schedules

- Calibrate instruments and tools

- Complete administrative tasks, including time reports and expense reports

- Work evenings and weekends as assigned

- Inspect and evaluate mechanical aspects of buildings

- Climb heights, lift up to 60 lbs., and climb ladders

- Perform other duties as assigned

- Work with minimal supervision

Requirements:

- High school diploma/GED required

- Certification in a specific building management discipline (HVAC, Plumbing, etc.)

- 4+ years of building maintenance experience

- Ability to work evenings and weekends as assigned

- Physical capabilities: climb heights, lift up to 60 lbs., and climb ladders

- Working knowledge of tools, appliances, and devices

- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems

Skills:

- Proficient computer and mobile phone skills

- Proficient customer service skills

This role involves using a Georgia Power fleet vehicle, requiring:

- At least one year of verifiable driving experience

- A valid driver's license for the class of vehicle to be operated

- No revocation of driving privileges within the past 36 months

- No convictions of major traffic violations within the past 12 months

- No pending charges for major traffic violations
