## Description

As a Classroom Security Paraprofessional with The Menta Group, you will work closely with classroom instructors and staff to provide targeted teaching and support to students in the classroom, as well as general support for all students in the school.

The role involves managing classroom behaviors, reporting behavioral concerns, implementing behavioral program policies, and maintaining classroom order and safety. You will also provide general supervision of students, assist in preventing and managing incidents, and respond to emergency situations.

Responsibilities include:

- Managing classroom behaviors

- Reporting behavioral concerns to appropriate staff

- Implementing and maintaining behavioral program policies and data

- Maintaining classroom order and safety

- Providing general supervision of students

- Assisting in the prevention and management of incidents

- Responding to emergency situations

- Providing interventions to students to manage behaviors

- Thinking quickly, independently, and tactfully

Qualifications:

- Security or Juvenile Justice background is helpful

- Military Veterans are encouraged to apply

- Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Social Services, Kinesiology, Health or related fields is encouraged but not required

- Ability to operate tactfully under stress

- Flexibility to adapt to changing routines

- At least 23 years of age

- Ability to work with high-risk special needs students

- Good driving record and willingness to drive a student van is strongly preferred
