## Description

Chime's Financial Crimes team protects millions of members from money laundering, fraud, and organised networks that target consumer financial platforms.

As a senior individual contributor, you will set the standard for how financial crime work is done here, defining what good looks like, raising the ceiling for the analysts you lead, and owning the hardest problems on the team end to end.

In this role, you can expect to:

- Operate with minimal direction on ambiguous problems and define the approach.

- Set the quality standard for others with defensible judgement calls.

- Move work across team boundaries without formal authority and represent Financial Crimes to partners outside the function.

- Raise the ceiling of the people around you through calibration, coaching, documentation, and examples.

- Improve the system, not just the case, by leaving behind reusable controls, procedures, detection changes, or documented typologies.

Responsibilities include:

- Vendor management: leading and supporting a team of analysts.

- Vendor team quality: sampling operations work, running calibration with partners, and holding quality and productivity expectations.

- Risk trend analysis: understanding AML and Fraud risks and following patterns of unusual activity.

- Typology development: documenting new and evolving schemes and making them teachable to the wider team.

- Operational rollout of new coverage: designing procedures and evidence standards.

- Procedures and documentation: owning SOPs for your area and keeping them up-to-date.

- Audit and exam readiness: preparing for internal audits, independent testing, and bank partner reviews.

To thrive in this role, you have:

- 7+ years in financial crime, fraud, or risk investigations.

- Working command of BSA, the USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC requirements, and unusual/suspicious activity reporting standards.

- Deep experience across the transaction monitoring alert lifecycle.

- Real typology depth across both money laundering and fraud.

- Hands-on involvement in scenario tuning or threshold work.

- Experience overseeing vendor or outsourced investigation teams.

- Judgment under volume and comfort with sustained ambiguity.

- Advanced SQL and fluency with graph or link analysis tooling.

- CAMS, CFE, or equivalent certification preferred.

The base salary offered for this role is $139,000-$193,000 USD. Full-time employees may also be eligible for bonuses, competitive equity, and benefits.
