## Job Overview

As a Paralegal – Contracts at Carta, you will play a crucial role in supporting the UK Contracts team. You will work closely with Carta's UK lawyers and embedded AI agents to deliver high-volume contract work with speed and consistency.

## Responsibilities

- Manage the intake and first-round markup of investment-related NDAs and related documents to ensure prompt turnaround times and meet client deadlines.

- Support Carta's UK lawyers with first-round drafting and ad hoc legal work to enable them to focus on complex tasks.

- Coordinate client workflows, manage document portals, and drive contracts through to execution to provide a seamless client experience.

- Deliver high-quality contract support that reflects Carta's reputation for precision, balancing speed with attention to detail.

## Requirements

- 2+ years of experience in transactional or corporate practice groups, or in-house commercial legal teams, with hands-on exposure to commercial contracts and investment-related NDA drafting.

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in high-volume, deadline-driven environments.

- Strong grasp of relevant legal concepts and commercial pragmatism to apply them effectively.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Self-motivated with a builder's mindset, able to take ownership and identify areas for improvement.

- Familiarity with private markets, fund structures, or investor onboarding workflows is a plus.
