## Description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer / Senior Engineer (Building Services) to join our team in Birmingham. As a key member of our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) business, you will work on exciting and challenging projects across various sectors, including healthcare, commercial offices, residential, industry, defense, and sports & leisure.

Your role will involve:

- Delivering projects in line with client expectations

- Providing design and technical advice in a project manager capacity

- Reviewing design programmes and ensuring sufficient resources are available

- Working independently with minimal supervision on technical aspects

- Interpreting client needs and meeting project delivery requirements

- Promoting WSP's capabilities and expertise in the region

- Supervising detailed designs and the work of others

- Leading feasibility studies and producing detailed specifications

- Developing and managing junior staff

Requirements:

- BEng/BSc/MEng in applicable engineering discipline

- CIBSE/IET/Engineering Council Chartership or working towards it

- RevitMEP training or experience with 3D design software

- Leadership skills

- Proven track record of delivering projects

- Ability to engage with clients, contractors, and design team members

- Understanding of UK and European regulations

- Familiarity with electrical design software packages

- Security Check (SC) clearance

Electrical design skills:

- Low voltage distribution systems

- Cable calculations

- Lighting calculations

- Energy lighting

- Small power

- Fire Detection & Alarm

- Intruder detection

- Access control & security systems

- Disabled call systems

- Data cabling and outlets

- Lightning protection
