## Description

In this position, you will help build the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles the world expects from Ford Motor Company. As a Process Engineer, Machining, you will be part of our Manufacturing team, working to develop new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency.

Your primary responsibilities will include delivering Manufacturing Delivery Quality Operating System requirements for a Powertrain Subsystem, collaborating with Product Development team to generate facility & tooling costs, improve quality, and reduce labor requirements, and using virtual tools to evaluate the feasibility of new model designs for high volume manufacturing operations.

You will also be responsible for writing/ modifying/maintaining process sheets and delivering updated Cycle Line Layouts, leading identification, resolution, and closure Machining feasibility issues, creating and following a master schedule for the design, build, and implementation of tools in your subsystem, and leading machining installation, start-up, and commissioning at the manufacturing site.

Additionally, you will lead identification, resolution, and closure of all launch product and tooling issues, develop "Lessons Learned" from New Model launches and implement Prevent Reoccurrence Actions into future programs, support Department Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Morale, Environment, and Innovation (SQDCPMEI) initiatives, and interface with cross-functional activities (Product Development, Supplier Technical Assistance, Material Planning & Logistics, New Model Programs).

## Skills

### Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in high volume industrial machining systems, or machining tooling, processes, and facilities
- Ability to travel including extended travel to assembly and component plants in US, Canada, and/or Mexico required

### Nice to have
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to support launch programs while traveling
- Strong Project Management skills and result-oriented mindset
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Power Point, etc.)
- 3D CAD review abilities (Teamcenter, VisMockup, CATIA, or equivalent)
- Understanding of PFMEA and failure mode avoidance principles
- Strong verbal & written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to operate in stressful situations within timing constraints
- Ability to work with minimal direct supervision
- Working knowledge of statistics (control charts, data collecting, GD&T etc.)
- Knowledge in the following Ford software systems: WERS, GSPAS/APT, Teamcenter, E2KS, AIM
