## Description

As a Payroll & Tax Team Leader at Gusto, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring businesses run smoothly by leading a dedicated team that leverages Gusto's platform to handle payroll and tax compliance.

You will lead a team of passionate individuals, creating an environment of continuous development and improvement through mentoring, coaching, and feedback. Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading a team and supporting their daily activities

- Creating an environment of continuous development and improvement

- Empowering your team to use scalable systems and metrics to monitor and improve the customer experience

- Understanding your team's performance and coaching individuals to meet or exceed their performance goals

- Using data to identify areas for improvement in tools and processes

- Building a strong culture of collaboration with the product team

- Utilizing AI to learn quickly, create process improvements, and drive organisational change

Requirements:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading teams of individual contributors

- Deep understanding of customer experience, support metrics, and best practices

- Background in payroll and/or tax is desired

- Experience using data to build new processes and improve existing ones

- Ability to hire, coach, and retain top talent in a highly complex and regulated support environment

- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
