## Description

We are seeking an Education Trust Manager to lead the Goodwood Education Trust, a charity that brings children and young people face-to-face with farming, nature, and the environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Leading and inspiring a team of around 10 people, fostering collaboration and ongoing personal development

- Providing visible, hands-on leadership while maintaining a clear strategic view

- Managing the budget, financial planning, and reporting to keep the Trust on a strong footing

- Researching funding opportunities, writing compelling bids, and growing external income

- Ensuring the Trust meets all legal, regulatory, Charity Commission, and safeguarding requirements

- Acting as the public face of the charity, building relationships with funders, schools, partners, and the local community

- Developing a sustainable strategy for growth that keeps the Trust responsive to local need

- Championing equality, diversity, and inclusion in everything we do

The ideal candidate will have:

- Senior leadership experience in the charitable, education, or outdoor learning sector

- Experience working with Boards or Trustees and supporting good governance

- A track record of researching and writing successful funding bids

- Experience of budget management, financial planning, and risk management

- Experience managing a small team, making people feel supported and valued

- Strong partnership-building, networking, and influencing skills

- Excellent communication skills, written and spoken, for a range of audiences

- A solid understanding of legal, regulatory, and safeguarding compliance

- An enthusiasm for farming and the environment, or a real willingness to learn

- A full driving licence and reliable transport

- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
