## Description

UNC Hillsborough is seeking an experienced RN to join their Pre-Op and PACU team. RNs in this fast-paced, team-oriented environment provide comprehensive assessments, patient and family education, pain and symptom management, and close monitoring of patients before and after surgery.

The ideal candidate will have prior Preop, Post-op, PACU, ED, ICU experience, as this role requires strong critical thinking, rapid assessment skills, and comfort with high-acuity and post-anesthesia patients.

Responsibilities:

- Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards

- Participate in identifying and meeting learning needs of self and patients

- Assess and prioritize patient care needs

- Develop and implement patient care plans

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate patient care

- Communicate relevant information to promote continuity of care

Requirements:

- Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program

- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina

- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification

- One (1) year of nursing experience

- ACLS must be obtained before working independently

- PALS must be completed within 6 months of hire
