## Description

Most finance roles ask you to keep the books. This one asks you to build the finance engine of a fast-growing insurance company: fast numbers, clean controls and a plan to fund what's next.

The company is customer-obsessed and aims to provide instant, simple, and caring insurance services. They've proven the model in the Netherlands and are scaling it across Europe.

## Key Responsibilities

In your first year, you will:

- Automate reporting to provide instant numbers for the management team

- Tighten the monthly close and controls to ensure every entity runs cleanly

- Be a sparring partner for every team, challenging business cases, budgets, and assumptions

- Lead changes across teams and own improvements that cut across departments

- Coach the team and shape how finance grows with the company

## Requirements

- Experience leading projects in strategy or operations consulting and working hands-on in a finance department, ideally at a scaleup

- Strong accounting knowledge to review a close, challenge a controller, and spot what's wrong in a P&L or a model

- Ability to take ownership, spot problems, propose fixes, and make them happen

- Experience with automation and using spreadsheets as a starting point

- Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus

## Nice to Have

- Experience in insurance, fintech, or another regulated environment
