## Description

This Quality Control Technician role at the Diageo Gimli Distillery is part of the Governance Team and plays a key role in delivering on the safety and quality commitments of the organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Testing and inspecting incoming grain to ensure conformance to specifications

- Conducting analytical testing on process samples and finished product to ensure adherence to specifications

- Operating various laboratory instruments, including HPLC, moisture analyzer, and NIR Spectrometer

- Performing yeast cell counts and sensory analysis of distillates and maturates

- Maintaining the Sensory Laboratory, sensory standards, and shipping sensory samples

- Supporting compliance with ISO 9001 and Quality Management System

- Delivering Quality Objectives as assigned

- Providing data entry and administrative assistance

- Performing other duties as assigned by the Governance Team

The ideal candidate will have:

- Proven experience working in a laboratory setting or relevant equivalent

- Experience with HPLC analysis

- Proficiency with computers, working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and database systems

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize

- Attention to detail and good organizational skills
