## Description

Join Biffa as a Shift Electrical Maintenance Technician in Redcar, earning £46,460 per year.

As a Shift Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for driving plant availability through ensuring all PPM's, reactive maintenance, engineering, and process improvements are carried out and implemented in a timely manner.

Your core responsibilities:

- Provide high operational availability, and an efficient breakdown repair service.

- Diagnose running faults and ensure effective repairs and improvements are conducted within a minimum timescale.

- Develop and implement a programme of planned preventative maintenance and inspection to minimise downtime, provide records of recurrent faulting, and develop engineered solutions to these issues.

- Carry out minor maintenance operations to plant and equipment.

- Liaise with external contractors on specific repairs/maintenance work.

- Keep abreast of changes to health & safety and environmental legislation and company policies to ensure defined standards and best practice are implemented.

Requirements:

- NVQ Level 3 engineering qualification with an electrical bias preferred.

- Experience maintaining production machinery.

- Fault-finding skills in control panels on PLC's, VSD's, and relay logic circuits.
