## Description

The Housekeeping Assistant will play a crucial role in Jewish Care's Hospitality team at the Betty and Asher Loftus Centre in Friern Barnet.

The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week, five days out of seven, including every other weekend, to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming environments for residents, members, visitors, and colleagues.

Key responsibilities include:

- Delivering housekeeping activities to high standards across the campus and care homes

- Ensuring safe and hygienic working practices

- Supporting events and festivals

- Providing laundry services, including distribution, washing, ironing, and preparation

- Maintaining infection control standards

- Monitoring cleaning products and equipment

- Disposing of waste safely

- Reporting hazards or maintenance issues

Requirements:

- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience

- COSHH training and Current Accredited Infection Control Certificate (or willingness to undertake training)

- Cleaning experience in a similar environment with a focus on high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

- Understanding of the challenges and sensitivity required to support vulnerable people

The role offers a salary of £14.80 per hour, with a permanent full-time contract.
