## Description

We are seeking a Lead Consultant, Systematic Reviews/Evidence Synthesis to join our global team at ICON Health Economics & Epidemiology, a division of ICON plc.

As a Lead Consultant, you will support the team in taking responsibility for project delivery and business development activities to support our growing Evidence Synthesis business.

**Responsibilities**

- Lead, manage and quality check high-quality delivery of evidence synthesis and analytical tasks and projects for clients to time and budget

- Provide strategic and technical expertise to clients and internally, demonstrating experience across state-of-the-art methods in evidence synthesis

- Develop study designs and analytic plans to answer research questions

- Lead development of qualitative and/or quantitative analysis plans for evidence synthesis

- Support other project activities as needed, complete internal documentation, and quality-check the work of others

- Analyse research problems and conceptually piece individual scientific tasks together to determine how the overall scientific goal will be achieved

- Develop a comprehensive set of sound recommendations on scientific methods and approaches

- Proactively and independently expand your knowledge base and remain current on developments, trends, and best practices

- Efficiently manage your own workload with respect to project scope, timelines, and quality

- Manage and ensure maintenance of a positive and productive liaison with internal and external contacts

- Conceptualize and draft, or lead, a complete proposal based on a client idea or RFP

- Lead project teams and identify staff resources required for efficiency

- Manage projects against internal timelines and budgets

- Actively mentor and coach junior staff

**Requirements**

- PhD or MSc in Statistics

- 8+ years of experience in evidence synthesis

- Significant experience within a consulting, academic, or pharmaceutical/devices industry environment

- Proven management experience, particularly leading a team of junior analysts

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

- High self-motivation
