As a Target Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in keeping our guests, team, and brand secure and leading through crisis events. Your responsibilities will include:

- Creating an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience by greeting guests, helping them find what they need, and resolving issues

- Promoting a physical security culture by assessing and maintaining safe and secure standards throughout the store

- Responding to and documenting security incidents in a timely manner

- Using de-escalation tactics and resources when responding to security incidents

- Conducting merchandise theft recoveries and providing theft apprehension support as needed

- Preventing theft and shortage at the front of store by performing merchandise receipt checks

- Submitting documentation in the case management system for all incidents

- Understanding and using Target's video surveillance system

- Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance

To be successful in this role, you should have:

- A welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members

- Effective communication skills

- Ability to work both independently and with a team

- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment

- Physical ability to climb up and down ladders, lift or move merchandise up to 40 pounds, and work in varying temperatures and humidity

- Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

In terms of qualifications, you must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
