## Description

As a Clinical Scientist - Infectious Disease (HIV) at ICON Strategic Solutions, you will work in a sponsor-dedicated model, supported by ICON's global expertise.

You will lead or support a study or studies, depending on size and complexity, and be accountable for the clinical/scientific execution of the protocol.

Key responsibilities include:

- Serving as clinical point of contact for scientific issues/questions for internal and external stakeholders

- Contributing to trial design and endpoint development in collaboration with the Clinical Director

- Leading the Medical Monitoring team in performing Medical Monitoring activities

- Setting up and supporting Safety Assessment Committees, Data Monitoring Committees, and adjudication committees

- Collaborating with medical writers on protocols, amendments, and study-specific documents

- Providing scientific input to Study Managers for data management activities

- Monitoring data issues requiring clinical input and central lab reports

- Preparing scientific slides and presenting protocol information at Investigator Meetings

- Acting as scientific lead on the Clinical Trial Team

- Reviewing and updating informed consent and protocol deviation classifications

- Supporting publications and presentations as needed

Requirements:

- BS/BA in Life Sciences with 7+ years of clinical research experience

- MS/PhD in Life Sciences with 5+ years of clinical research experience

- Significant experience in clinical development (>11 years) if no degree in Life Sciences

- Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical and/or clinical drug development experience as a lead Clinical Scientist

- Medical monitoring experience required

- Oncology experience required

- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills required

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Ability to travel up to 15%
