## Description

We are seeking a Principal Transport Planner to join our Transport & Mobility team in Basingstoke.

The successful candidate will work on a varied portfolio of multi-disciplinary and cross-sector projects for public and private sector clients, including active travel solutions, transport strategies, and Government funding applications.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting senior colleagues in developing and expanding client work across the UK

- Contributing to team management, including attending resourcing meetings and maintaining utilisation expectations

- Leading and managing transport planning projects, ensuring technical excellence and collaboration

- Preparing bids, fee proposals, and project programmes

- Presenting at internal and external technical knowledge-sharing events

- Supervising junior colleagues and coaching them in acquiring new skills

Requirements:

- Experience working with local authorities on active travel, public transport, and transport planning projects

- Knowledge of Transport Assessments and Travel Plans

- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with proficiency in MS Office and transportation software

- Excellent communication and project management skills

- Commercial awareness and effective financial management
