## Description

Grab is Southeast Asia's leading superapp, offering various services including food delivery, financial management, and transportation.

You will lead the design, development, and maintenance of Grab's mission-critical backend systems, driving technological advancements and setting the standard for engineering excellence.

**Responsibilities**

- Design and write code in Go language to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Grab's services

- Work with infrastructure team to build and scale back-end services and perform root cause analysis investigations

- Collaborate with mobile team to build reusable modularized mobile components using scalable APIs

- Explore and create new designs and architectures with other engineering teams to improve scale and performance

- Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high development standards

**Qualifications**

- At least 1 year of experience in backend development

- Familiarity with running large-scale distributed web or API services, understanding of systems internals and networking, and hands-on experience with databases and data query languages like MySQL or Presto

- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure, and understanding of testing frameworks for unit testing, integration testing, and E2E testing

- Hands-on familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for system development and deployment

- Understanding of building microservices architecture and a good grasp of distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and message queuing systems

- Proficiency in any programming language, with a willingness to work with Go
