## Description

Forward Networks is seeking a talented Network Engineer to work as part of its Network team.

Responsibilities:

- Extensive testing of features available in routing protocols like BGP, MPLS, MP-BGP, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, SR, etc., on multiple vendor platforms like Juniper, Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.

- Teach the basics of networking technologies and terminology to software developers working on creating models for those networking technologies.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience operating large and complex networks

- Strong knowledge of Service Provider, Enterprise Networking, and Data Centre Technologies

- Deep understanding of the functionality of switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers

- One or more of the following certificates: CCIE, JNCIE, or VCDX

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to haves:

- Scripting or programming experience (Python, Perl, etc.)

- Familiarity with Ansible or other DevOps tools, Git, etc.
