## Description

We are seeking a Special Education Academic Coach II to join our team at High Tech High - Point Loma. As a Special Education Academic Coach II, you will be responsible for ensuring that students with diverse needs have access to our general education curriculum.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and motivate students. You will assist teachers by working with individual students with mild/moderate behavioral or academic needs on a one-to-one basis, and provide support for students with learning differences.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing one-to-one support to students with mild/moderate behavioral or academic needs

- Assisting with tutorial activities and monitoring student progress

- Establishing rapport and meaningful relationships with referred students

- Performing clerical support duties such as typing and completing documents

Requirements:

- High School diploma/GED and an Associate's degree (or higher) or 48 or more eligible units of coursework at a recognized college or university

- Experience in a school/learning environment preferred

- Experience with ABA strategies preferred and/or experience with student medical needs preferred

This is an hourly position that can work variable hours up to 35 per week. The salary range is $25.59-29 per hour.
