## Description

We're building a local Enterprise Sales Pod in Mexico City, seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to embed with enterprise customers and architect production systems on Telnyx's global network.

You will work side-by-side with a dedicated Enterprise AE to build a Telnyx enterprise business in your market, focusing on voice, messaging, AI, and wireless solutions.

Key responsibilities:

- Embed with enterprise customers to understand their communications workflows, AI use cases, and integration challenges

- Build and deploy custom implementations using Telnyx APIs (Voice, Messaging, Fax, Wireless) and WebRTC

- Run open-weight LLMs in customer environments and deploy self-hosted stacks

- Instrument and govern LLM usage through a unified gateway

- Wire production observability for shipped solutions

- Design model routing strategies for real-time voice workloads

- Lead POCs, pilots, and production launches

- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape the roadmap

- Create technical documentation and maintainable solutions

- Troubleshoot complex integration issues

Requirements:

- CS degree or equivalent experience

- 3+ years building and shipping production software

- Proficiency in multiple languages (Python, Node.js/TypeScript, Go)

- Practical understanding of production challenges with models

- Experience with containerized services on Kubernetes

- High-concurrency experience with Kafka, message queues, or event streams

- API design and development experience

- Event-driven thinking and cloud-native instincts

- Exposure to SIP, WebRTC, or real-time voice/messaging systems

- Self-sufficient and customer-facing engineering experience

- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish

Bonus points for experience with AI voice assistants, STT/TTS, LLM-based conversational systems, and sovereign or on-prem cloud deployments.
