## Description

As a Runner at Soho House Chicago, you will be responsible for a range of tasks to ensure seamless service delivery to our members and guests.

Your main duties will include:

- Preparing tables, serving orders, and explaining meals to guests

- Facilitating collaboration between kitchen staff and servers

- Providing quality, hand-plated service to guests

- Refilling water glasses and coffee cups, clearing finished dishes, and replenishing table supplies

- Expediting food orders and ensuring they are coursed out correctly

- Accommodating special requests from guests and providing alternative solutions when needed

- Working effectively in a high-volume, elevated service environment

- Maintaining knowledge of the menu and making suggestions to guests when asked

- Cleaning and stocking server alley and expo areas

To succeed in this role, you should:

- Have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar capacity

- Be able to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and problem-solve under pressure

- Possess excellent customer service skills and be approachable, hospitable, and respectful towards colleagues and guests

- Be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays

- Demonstrate competency in food safety and handling procedures
