As a Senior Product Designer, you will own design for an area of the Databricks Platform, combining strong visual craft with systems thinking. You will shape products used by advanced data teams, business users, and AI agents.

The impact you will have:

- Own your area end to end, sharpening the problem, setting design direction, and carrying the work from framing to visual polish.

- Set the quality bar, making critical design decisions, reviewing work, and improving it yourself.

- Advocate with evidence, staying in contact with customers, choosing research methods, and turning research into actionable insights.

- Show the experience got better, defining success metrics, and demonstrating improvement through usability testing and research.

- Influence through your work, moving product and engineering decisions with prototypes, and communicating clearly.

- Prototype to explore and align, using interactive prototypes to solve ambiguous problems and align the team.

- Design directly in the codebase with coding agents, shipping well-scoped design changes alongside engineers.

- Define reusable UX principles, creating interaction patterns and frameworks that drive consistency across the platform.

- Raise the level of critique, giving and inviting high-quality feedback.

What we look for:

- 5+ years of product design experience.

- A bachelor's or master's degree in design, computer science, human-computer interaction, or a related field.

- A portfolio demonstrating your end-to-end design process.

- Experience leading large and complex design projects, balancing diverse stakeholder needs.

- Systems thinking, with the ability to design the big picture and break it down for incremental building.

- Deep understanding of business goals, customer needs, emerging AI capabilities, and the evolving data and technology landscape.

- Self-directed and comfortable in ambiguity, helping shape product direction.

- Beautiful visual and interaction work rooted in data-driven, well-researched UX.

Nice to have:

- Experience designing developer tools, data/analytics products, AI/ML products, or enterprise software.

- Experience designing products for both technical and business users.

- Familiarity with modern development and AI-assisted coding tools.
