## Description

Fuse Energy is a forward-thinking renewable energy startup on a mission to deliver a terawatt of renewable energy – fast.

We're combining first-principles thinking with cutting-edge technology to build a radically better energy system.

As Infrastructure Development Lead - Europe, you will own data centre development in Europe end-to-end: from market entry strategy and early-stage opportunity through Ready-to-Build and energisation.

Responsibilities:

- Evaluate and prioritise European markets based on power availability and price, grid connection timelines, land, fibre connectivity, climate, permitting regimes, and incentives.

- Assess sites from technical, planning, power, and infrastructure perspectives.

- Develop grid connection and power strategies with European TSOs, DSOs, and national utility providers across target markets.

- Structure and support development financing: capital planning, project finance, and working with investors and lenders to fund development through delivery.

- Lead planning, permitting, environmental assessment, and stakeholder engagement processes in each jurisdiction.

- Identify and mitigate technical, commercial, and development risks.

- Ensure projects are deliverable, scalable, and aligned with construction requirements.

Requirements:

- Experience developing data centres or large-scale infrastructure projects in Europe, taken from early-stage development through design, permitting, and delivery readiness.

- Deep knowledge of key European data centre geographies and why they matter - grid capacity, permitting dynamics, power markets, and where new capacity can realistically be delivered at speed.

- Strong understanding of European planning and grid connection processes, including working with TSOs, DSOs, and national regulators.

- Strong technical understanding of data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, and utility systems, with the ability to evaluate engineering decisions and challenge technical assumptions.

- Understanding of development financing for infrastructure projects, including project finance structures and investor requirements.

- Highly analytical, self-directed, and comfortable with significant ownership.

- Willingness to travel across Europe; additional European languages are a plus.

Benefits:

- Competitive salary

- Biannual bonus scheme

- Fully expensed tech to match your needs
