Pinterest is looking for a Sr. Staff Qualitative Researcher to lead research in its highest-priority ads areas.

The successful candidate will have ownership of a broad problem space, autonomy to set and execute their research agenda, and real influence over the ads roadmap and the holistic Pinner experience.

Responsibilities:

- Lead high-impact qualitative research in strategic ads areas

- Uncover and represent complex advertiser and user problems

- Shape the research agenda

- Choose the right method for the question

- Influence strategy and roadmap

- Assess where sustained research investment is needed

- Use AI to amplify your craft

- Provide vision and direction for large collaborative efforts

- Mentor and raise the bar

Requirements:

- Minimum 7 years of experience in qualitative or mixed-methods user research

- Deep expertise across the qualitative toolkit

- Experience in mixed-methods research

- Demonstrated ability to influence product strategy and roadmap

- Strong executive communication skills

- Ability to thrive in ambiguity

- Strong strategic judgment and decision quality

- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

- Experience leading large, collaborative research efforts

- Curiosity and creativity in using AI tools

- Familiarity with ads (preferred)
