## Description

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Reporting to oversee and lead month-end closing activities, including review of financial statements, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.

The successful candidate will ensure timely and accurate group reporting packages for regional and corporate reporting, lead preparation of statutory returns and regulatory submissions, and prepare Board, Audit Committee, and senior management financial reporting materials.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and lead month-end closing activities

- Ensure timely and accurate group reporting packages

- Lead preparation of statutory returns and regulatory submissions

- Prepare Board, Audit Committee, and senior management financial reporting materials

- Serve as a key subject matter expert on IFRS 17 and insurance accounting matters

- Review and document accounting conclusions for complex transactions

- Manage and coordinate external and internal audit processes

- Ensure compliance with SOX/internal control frameworks

- Strengthen financial reporting controls and governance processes

- Work closely with Actuarial, FP&A, Treasury & Operations, Legal, Risk & Compliance

- Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals

- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

- Drive automation and operational efficiency initiatives

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

- Professional qualification such as HKICPA, ACCA, CPAA, or equivalent

- At least 8 years of progressive experience in life insurance accounting and financial reporting

- Minimum 3 years in a managerial or people leadership role

- Strong knowledge and experience in financial reporting, especially on IFRS 17 and IFRS 9

- Experience with policy admin systems, finance systems, and reporting tools

- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments

- Proactive, detail-minded, responsible, and able to work under pressure

- Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
