## Description

As a PreOp PACU Nurse at Medical City Surgery Center of North Texas, you will play a crucial role in preparing patients for surgery and ensuring their safe recovery.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing patients' care areas before procedures

- Ensuring necessary equipment and supplies are available

- Conducting thorough physical and psychological assessments of patients

- Administering pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed

- Exhibiting proper technique for insertion, maintenance, and removal of IV catheters and saline locks

- Checking dressings and operative sites, reporting any abnormalities to surgeons

- Ensuring patients meet discharge criteria

To qualify for this role, you will need:

- An Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma, or a higher degree in Nursing

- At least 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU, or Surgery

- An active RN license as required by the state of employment

- BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not accepted)

- ACLS required within 30 days of hire

- PALS if required by the facility within 30 days of hire
