The Analysis Department at MTCE is currently seeking a Structures (CAE) Engineer. As a Structures Engineer, you will construct FEA models, perform simulations, recommend design improvements, perform engineering calculations, review requirements and specifications, and prepare reports.

Responsibilities include:

- Constructing FEA models and performing simulations

- Recommending design improvements and performing engineering calculations

- Reviewing requirements and specifications, and preparing reports

- Working closely with other members of the team and other departments, particularly design engineering and testing

- Interfacing with manufacturing division partners and OEM customers

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related field

- 0-3 years of experience

- Proven engineering aptitude with the ability to conceptualise and align designs with functional requirements

- Good knowledge of the finite element method and its application to mechanical systems

- Prior experience with commercial FEA tools, such as Hyperworks, ABAQUS, LS-DYNA, OptiStruct, and nCode

- Experience using multi-body kinematics and dynamics packages is an asset

- High level of interest in automotive engineering

- Good written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent organisational skills

- Effective problem-solving skills

- Hold current passport and be able to travel as required
