## Description

This is a temporary, seasonal position supporting the Darlington Raceway branded Pace Car at public appearances and promotional events throughout the Pee Dee region and state of South Carolina.

The successful candidate will be responsible for representing Darlington Raceway to current and prospective customers, educating them on the track's history and information, and promoting ticket opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

- Enthusiastically interacting with and educating the public on Darlington Raceway history, information, and ticket opportunities

- Loading and unloading the Darlington Raceway Pace Car

- Ensuring the promotional display is appropriately supplied with materials and giveaway items, while maintaining a neat, organized presentation

- Collecting prospects for future outreach campaigns

- Attending in-market events throughout the state of South Carolina for the purpose of maximizing sales opportunities

- Assisting with charitable events held at the track

- Being knowledgeable about the events held at Darlington Raceway and topical NASCAR storylines

- Assisting in the setup and teardown of the display

Qualifications include:

- Minimum 18 years of age

- Currently living or attending school in South Carolina

- Post high school education required or equivalent experience

- Exceptional work ethic, strong desire to succeed, eagerness to learn, professionalism, and a passion for the sports industry

- Competitive nature and a contagious positive attitude

- Strong time management and organizational skills; reliable and dependable

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Professional appearance and demeanor

- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

- Reliable transportation to and from the track location
