## Description

The Pipeline Integrity Engineer is a critical role within the company's engineering department. This position provides technical support for the implementation of the Transmission Integrity Management Program (TIMP). The engineer will serve as the subject matter expert for the planning and execution of Direct Assessment (DA) assessments, analyzing transmission pipeline data to identify High Consequence Areas, pipeline threats, and preparing pre-assessment data. The engineer will also prepare excavation plans and technical exhibits to assist in permit acquisition for field assessment activities, perform technical analysis to evaluate pipeline condition, root cause analysis, and fitness for service. Additionally, the engineer will document all aspects of transmission pipeline integrity management plans, organize and maintain pipeline data, assessment reports, technical documentation, procedures, and the basis for all TIMP decisions. The engineer will also analyze assessment data, prepare remediation plans, and schedule and identify other pertinent risk reduction measures.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a recognized engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited institution, with a minimum of 3 years of gas utility operations, engineering, or related experience. The candidate should have strong analytical and communication skills, with proficiency in project management, geographic information systems (GIS), and MS Office. The candidate should also have knowledge of regulatory codes and industry standards, such as 49 CFR 192 and ASME B31.8.

The selected candidate will work in an office environment, with occasional local and overnight travel. The position requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasional prolonged standing or walking.
