## Description

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster.

The humanitarian crisis in Venezuela continues to intensify. Venezuelans face hyperinflation, which puts basic goods and services, including healthcare and food, out of reach. The lack of medical supplies makes it difficult to diagnose and treat communicable diseases and sexual and reproductive health needs.

The IRC provides emergency response services in the states of Zulia, Lara, Falcón, Táchira, and Apure, working in collaboration with Venezuelan civil society organisations to provide essential services to vulnerable people.

**Job Summary:** The Programme Assistant will play a supporting role across projects operated by the IRC Venezuela in the states of Táchira and Apure. They will assist in implementing the Community Mobilisation strategy and ensure effective communication between intervention communities and the IRC Táchira – Apure.

**Main Responsibilities:**

- Co-design, execute, and support community mobilisation processes to ensure implementation of the IRC Venezuela strategy within active projects or proposals for Táchira and Apure.

- Ensure systematic and traceable organisation of information collected through community mobilisation tools.

- Support generation of quality inputs for updating context analyses in intervention territories.

- Accompany promotion, awareness-raising, and appropriation actions of feedback channels and mechanisms led by MEAL and Programmes.

- Understand partner approaches and tools to strengthen and complement community mobilisation.

- Support assertive communication processes with community leaders and key actors.

**Requirements:**

- Professional degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Social Sciences.

- At least two years of community experience, preferably with international cooperation organisations or programme implementation in Táchira and Apure.

- Effective handling of qualitative and quantitative research techniques.

- Demonstrated understanding of community dynamics and work with vulnerable populations.

- Strong report-writing skills.

- Personal qualities for community work: group management, excellent communication skills, and ability to relate to caregivers and leaders.
