## Description

We are seeking a Loan Operations Expert, AVP to join our trade settlements team in Bangalore, India. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day loan activities, analysing restructuring agreements, reviewing and booking primary deals, and reconciling distributions from liquidators.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Manage day-to-day loan activities, including manual general ledger entries, manual cashflows, and secondary trade processing

- Analyse restructuring agreements and book them in the loan system

- Review and book primary deals

- Reconcile and apply distributions from liquidators

- Liaise with senior business stakeholders, clients, and their representatives, as well as internal and external legal teams, risk teams, audit teams, and onshore and offshore operations teams

- Resolve queries on all aspects of loan booking, settlement, and maintenance

- Conduct operational reviews of trade and loan-related documentation

- Identify and escalate open issues to the team manager

- Provide written commentary on outstanding open issues

- Collate regular reports for monitoring purposes

- Monitor WIP and control reports daily

- Perform cash matching on internal systems

- Review and update procedures to ensure efficiency in training and transaction processing

- Participate in departmental projects and initiatives, including UAT testing

- Crosstrain with other departments for work efficiencies and knowledge enhancements

**Requirements:**

- Expertise in Loan IQ system and thorough knowledge of wires, nostros, and fund flow between various departments

- Hands-on experience in at least one of the areas, such as deal origination, trading and settlement, docs management, processing, and loan controls

- Understanding of 'delayed compensation' and 'cost of carry'

- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics, combined with at least 4-5 years of financial industry experience

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

- Effective decision-making capabilities

- Ability to work independently and handle heavy volumes within deadlines

- Excellent PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

- Strong relationship abilities with internal departments

- Knowledge of syndicated loans procedure
